Why am I writing this report for you to read?

Over the years I have trained with many companies around the world & spent over £30,000 in my permanent makeup education. However, after looking into both companies that I have used & others offering permanent makeup training courses, I was surprised to find that most of the permanent makeup training instructors were not even employed by the companies they represent. This resulted in no company being able to guarantee the same style & quality of training week in week out, course after course.

To me, this was worrying. It meant that the majority of permanent makeup training companies were lacking both consistency & quality, it felt like a training lucky dip lottery.

I have also noted that many people have come to me for re-training & confidence building courses & asked me how to use this gadget & that gadget, this measuring tool & that special pencil, only to find that they do not need it at all. They have simply been sold lots & lots of things from companies that sell all their own branded products (& only theirs), whether or not they actually need them.

Training companies seemed to be really over complicating simple procedures & the result was a panicky over cautious, un-confident trainee, with a certificate of attendance, being the only real evidence of their actual training.

I’ve even had one lady come to me for re-training after spending well over £10,000 with another company & she didn’t even know how to switch her machine on or change her needle cartridge!

After further investigation, determined to get to the bottom of how this could be, I found out that she had been constantly overlooked in a large class of 8 people & in all her training, had only managed to get 15 minutes of actual practice on a live model! She didn’t even get to use the practice skin beforehand!!

Now put yourself in that trainees first real clients shoes. Would you want some-one who’s only had 15 minutes real practice tattooing your face, no matter how much she has spent on machinery & training? I don’t think so!
