Permanent Makeup Eyeliner Colour Boost
1-2 Year Permanent Eyeliner Colour Boost
This client has been coming for permanent eyeliner over the last 4 years. She started with eyelash enhancement on the upper and lower lashes. This is similar to eyeliner but it is much more subtle with the end result being a much fuller lash line.
This Is How The Client Wears Her Eye Makeup
Realistic Expectations In Permanent Eye Makeup & Why I Only Do Safe & Simple Eyeliner Designs.
In the consultation process I will go through before and after pics of what can be safely achieved in permanent makeup. A soft powdery back liner (as seen below) which clients love.
However, with the addictive nature of permanent makeup, I find clients see the immediately after effect of jet black liquid liner and then tend to move the goal post from what was initial agreed to chasing the liquid effect look.
Generally the pictures clients see online of jet black liners are actually unhealed work which can never be achieved permanently. The opacity and darkness can be gradually built up over a few sessions but below is an example of a beautiful, safe, & achievable look in permanent make up.
Using My Safe And Simple Methods In Over 10,000 Permanent Makeup Procedures I Have Never Had Ink Migrate.
Other technicians, especially in other countries, have tried to create the liquid effect look but generally they are using unsafe super strong inks around the delicate eye area. With a safe permanent makeup ink the micron count is between 6 & 8, meaning that the ink is semi permanent is much less likely migrate & poses less risk for the client (ie move from one place to another).
Unsafe inks have a much smaller micron count and contain permanent fixing agents which stops the ink from breaking down and allows the ink the move and spread under the skin. Once the ink migrates it can only be corrected with laser treatments.
Before & Immediately After Permanent Eyeliner
The Image on the left hand side is permanent makeup after 2 years. It’s very subtle but still there. The image on the right hand side is the client immediately after a colour boosting session. Although the colour looks very dark and like liquid eyeliner the effect will heal to a soft smokey black. A lot of client want the jet black look permanently, this is not possible to achieve as the skin heals over the top of the pigment, making it look more smokey.
The client can always add heavier eye makeup over the top of her permanent makeup if she requires. I don’t advise heavy makeup permanently tattooed as many clients come to regret this decision years down the line.
